Happy 4th of July!

"For God so loved the world, He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life! For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17

I have been pondering what to write today.

Should I write about how proud I am to be an American?

Should I write about how thankful I am for my freedom? The very freedom I have to sit here right now and write this very post?

Should I write about how thankful I am for every man and woman who is fighting for my freedom? Thank You just does not seem to touch how grateful I am!

Should I write about how thankful I am that God sent His only Son so I could be truly free? I can't imagine my life without being able to publicly share my love for Him and what His love has done in my life!!!

Or maybe what it feels like to be raising 8 children in a world and country that seems to be changing faster than I can keep up with?

I can't imagine living anywhere else but here. Yet, my heart continues to be pulled towards lands far, far away. I wonder if they will ever know the freedoms I have - we all have? I wonder if they know what it feels like to know that no matter what happens in this life - they know where they are going?

I wonder what our children who have been adopted from far off lands will think about the their freedom?

Does it really matter where you live - if you are living without freedom? And what freedom really matters anyway?

I keep coming back to one thing - the freedom to love God with all of your heart, mind, body and soul! I can't think of any freedom that I would fight for harder than that one.

Yes, I would fight for the right to homeschool our children!

Yes, I would fight for the right to make decisions on how to raise them!

But none of it matters if I can't spend my time and life living for The One who came to give me freedom!

And as proud as I am to be an American - my heart is full with praise that we are all His children - no matter where in the world you live - no matter what color your skin - no matter what kind of house you live in - you are a child of the Most High God - who gave His Son for your life!!!! Now that my friends is freedom! I pray you know that freedom personally and if not that you will open your heart and life to a freedom you don't have to earn to receive!

It is not freedom because of location! It is not freedom because of how much money I make. It is not freedom because of my education. This freedom has nothing to do with me!

This freedom I rejoice in experiencing came with a price - His blood shed for me - for you and for everyone!

I praise You Father, for blessing me and our family with a freedom no man can ever take away!

May we all be willing to lay down our lives and give back to You what you so freely gave to us!

Praying you are all safe and had a blessed 4th of July! May we all remember those around the world who are not free and pray they too will come to know the freedom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

I sit in awe of His glory and wonder as I try to capture His beauty to share with you. Look at the colors of this flower...

Our butterfly tree continues to bloom and get taller by the week...

I still can't believe I captured this picture...

On Friday Lexi and Naomi were dressed in similar outfits - which of course is always the perfect set up for me to take photos! And being the faithful Mommarazzi that I am I couldn't resist taking photos of this... Naomi was very sad when it was time to take off her hat. Which by the way is Jordan's. Too cute! This little girl is something else!

Tonight I go to sleep knowing I am beyond blessed and ever so thankful for each blessing God has given me!

Please join me in praying for Abby!

I was blessed in your sharing Jill. I tried to make rounds yesterday to see/read and pray for everyone as they wrote and shared their 4th of July messages. I don't think I made it to you so you came in my heart this morning and I came on over.

Praying for Abby...

Blessings to you and your beautiful family.

Love ya.

I kept looking for your message yesterday but I'm glad to read it this morning. It was worth waiting for Jill. How true your words are! Yes, we are thankful for the freedom we have in the USA but nothing compares to the freedom we have in Christ! Oh, if more loved ones would be open to the free gift of salvation Jesus offers to all.

You are getting so good with your camera. The butterfly photos were fantastic!

Lexi is growing up so beautifully both inside and outside. And Naomi is blooming and adorable as always. Thank you for sharing your family with us.

As Lisa Shaw wrote above, we are all praying for Abby. This morning as soon as I awakened I had to check the Riggs family blog and found out that Abby was able to go home after being in the ER late last night. So thankful to read that news and continue praying.

Love you Jill and I wanted to wish you a Happy Independence Day in all aspects.
