This song gives me such peace and reminds me of how important it is to praise God during the storms of life. I have seen this quote so much lately that I might turn it into a plaque for our children to see daily.
♥ Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning how to dance in the rain ♥
We will keep our eyes on You. A choice.
We will set our hearts on You. A choice.
We will praise You. A choice.
God does not promise you a life without trials.
You see the trials are always for our good and His glory.
Every single one.
No matter how hard or long it lasts – it is to strengthen our faith in Him.
It is for us to show others the power and love of God holding us up despite the trials we must endure.
But that is a choice.
We will either allow God to take us through the valleys and onto the mountain tops or we won’t.
We will either love God with our whole heart, mind (soul) and body or we won’t.
That is a choice too.
We will either serve God today or ourselves. A choice.
We will either be a friend of God’s or His enemy today. A choice.
God doesn’t owe you or I a thing. He has given us everything already.
His mercy and grace are more than anyone deserves.
Yet, you wouldn’t know that by what you hear in the world. And sadly amongst Christians today.
We have been given everything already for godliness and contentment.
We have been given everything to have VICTORY in this life.
We have been given everything to have peace that surpasses all understanding.
We have been given everything to live life more abundantly.
We have been given Jesus.
He is ENOUGH!
His grace is sufficient!
We need nothing else but God.
Imagine what our lives would look like if we BELIEVED that and allowed that to be our first and last thought of every day.
We have everything we need already.
You (who are saved) have the power of Jesus inside of you right now to receive His joy, peace, hope, grace and love every moment of every day. It is up to you if you will let it flow or not.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
You see God owes us nothing. It is us who owe Him everything. Look at what He has done for us. Truly ponder the faithfulness of God and put your eyes on Him today.
I stand in awe that He never leaves us nor forsakes us – even with our complete faithlessness. I stand in awe that He even wants to be our friend. I stand in awe that He loves us so much that His greatest desire is to shower us with the gifts He has given us and a home waiting for us in heaven.
Confess any area of your life that you are controlling or fighting Him on. Confess your unbelief in Him and ask Him to help you in your unbelief. Confess the areas of pride in your life. Confess the guilt you feel for not doing “x” right and how you have been trying to fix it. Confess any area of resentment, bitterness and anger. Confess that you feel punished. Confess whatever God is laying on your heart.
Then be amazed at how quickly His Spirit fills you up and renews you once again. That choice of humility sets the stage for your instant fellowship with God like never before. It opens the flood gates for His love to wash over you and heal the places this world can never soothe.
Our God is heart changing, mind healing and soul soothing.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus today and see what His kind of love will do!
If only we would all simply desire to touch the hem of His tassel and BELIEVE!
Praying for our unbelief…trusting God to move mountains in many hearts today!
Resting in His love!

Beautiful song.
I like these statements: "God does not promise you a life without trials. You see the trials are always for our good and His glory.
Every single one."
So true. I'm studying Micah now. God brought destruction on his own people. Trials. Because he hated them? No, he loved them, and wanted to turn them back to him.
If we can look at every hardship as a rebuke from God (whether we 'deserve' it or not), we can process it in a much more healthy way. It is for our good, and then we can start looking for ways to grow from it.
From my own experience I can say that is very hard, esp if my feelings (pride) are badly hurt. But, good can still happen.
Good post.
Wow oh wow, what an incredible post...thank you for sharing this...I read it to my dh this morning while having our coffee. We know that God was speaking to us early this morning through this post and your scripture verses.
Loved the song as well.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for the reminder that HE is truly all I need! HUGS!
Thanks for ministering to my heart today. I'm struggling with some unbelief today. Will be emailing you back when I leave here!
Love you!
Confession is so good for the soul and heart. It restores sweet fellowship with the Lord. As you know, I am choosing to praise Him in the midst of the storms.
Love you,
Debbie
Beautiful song. I don't think I have ever heard it before. I read something on a church board that has stuck with me. It said "God uses every storm" Powerful. He doesn't promise us a life without trials but we have them to bring Him glory and to strengthen us.
I couldn't imagine life without HIM...to carry me through.
Hugs & love,
Mimi
Thank you. This was the encouragement and reminder that I NEEDED this morning.
